Welcome to the future home of Robert Ruddell Weatherwax, grandson of Rudd Weatherwax, original owner and trainer of many generations of Lassie dogs.
Robert assisted his father for the first year of The New Lassie series and also appeared in the opening scene of one of the episodes ("Snakebit") with Leonardo di Caprio. Robert Jr. was replaced in the show's second season but continued to work for many years as an animal trainer with other well known trainers such as Karl Miller, Paul Calabria, Boone Narr, Gary Gero, and Teresa Miller.
In the near future, this site will explore all of the areas of the career and life of Robert Ruddell Weatherwax.
